BOOK REVIEW...Gone with the Wolf (Seattle Wolf Pack #1) by Kristin Miller

CEO and alpha werewolf Drake Wilder has given up the search for his one true love. When he discovers that she’s a secretary in his company, Drake’s primal instincts kick into overdrive.

What he wouldn’t give to have her fingers rake over his body instead of the keyboard…

Free-spirited bartender Emelia Hudson wants nothing more than to make her Seattle-based bar succeed. But when profits decline, she slips into a dress suit and secures a nine-to-five. After learning that her bar has become property of Wilder Financial, Emelia is determined to get some answers.

Two can play the ruthless business game. If only her attraction to the boss wasn’t so intense…

When Drake’s twin brother senses that Drake has found his match—and now inherits their father’s billion dollar estate—he hatches a plan to take Emelia out. Drake vows to protect her at all costs, but he might have to pay with his own life.

I almost gave up reading this story 30 pages in since I was pretty bored. THANK GOD it picked up and turned into a story worth reading since I normally dig paranormal romances with werewolf shape-shifters and alpha male types of characters.

SO BASICALLY: After 300 years of existence, business mogul shape-shifter Drake Wilder has given up the search in finding his Luminary, his destined mate. Enter feistyhuman Emelia Hudson who works part time as a temp at his company while struggling to keep her Seattle based bar alive.

Drake and Emelia meet while she crashes his party's wine cellar and sparks fly.

Drake now finds himself in a deadly predicament since he and twin brother Silas are in the run of becoming alpha of their packs but in order for one to be chosen he first has to find his Luminary. Silas has not found his and now Emelia's life is endanger.

What will the outcome be?

MY THOUGHTS:
I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment in the series. Like I mentioned before, the pacing was slow at the beginning but thankfully it picked up. I really loved both Drake and Emelia and am hoping the next book to be on Drake's pack member Logan. His character was intriguing to me and made me want to know more about him while he was interacting with Emelia.

My Rating:

-Overall : 9
-Plot : 9
-Writing : 9
-Characters : 9
-Cover : 8
