When a stranger shows up in her front yard claiming he’s her mate, Ari Fallow wants to laugh in Dane Griffin’s face. But the sleek, sophisticated jaguar makes her hormones hum with a desire she can’t deny. She almost wants to believe his claim that she’s been his since birth.
Her father, however, is still sore over the fact Dane marked her when she was only minutes old. After summoning a pack of wolves to their quiet community for Ari to make her own decision about which male she wants, Dane's original plan to sever his ties to Ari fly out the window. He can’t lose her again. This time, he's playing for keeps.

This is actually my favorite out of Miranda Stowe's Half-breed Shifter series with the exception of Book one. In "Mates Since Birth" Ari Fallow is born from a human mother and a half-deer/wolf shifter father. Because of a complication following her birth, young half-human/part-jaguar shifter Dane Griffin saves her by biting her and forever binding them to one another.
HOWEVER OF COURSE, when Ari's father gets wind of what Dane has done he relocates his family leaving Dane without his mate and Ari unaware of their bond.
Years pass and Ari grows up to become a beautiful woman. She meets Dane again who informs her of their bond but is determined to sever ties between them now that he's found her again. What at first starts as a mission to put Ari behind him turns into a charade of playing for keeps. Especially after when the game of love comes to play and Ari and Dane's lives come at stake.

My comments:
This book was totally up my league!! Dane was so smexily stubborn and Ari was strong willed and beautiful.
"Mates Since Birth" moves at a nice pace and keeps readers interested in engaged. I'm now dying to read the next book in the series and to see the fate of how Dane's sister and the hunter who has her prisoner's love story unfolds.
My Rating:
-Overall : 8
-Plot : 8
-Writing : 8

BOOK TWO:

Nanny, Jaycee Roland, would die for her three wards. So when a massive wolf appears in their backyard, she instantly places her own body between them and the threat of danger. But the oddest thing happens next. Instead of attacking, the wolf merely watches her a moment before turning and jogging off.
From then on, she swears the animal stalks her, following her everywhere. And worse yet, it steals into her dreams—crazy, erotic dreams where the wolf comes into her room at night, shifts into a man calling himself Knox, and takes her in ways she never dreamed imaginable.
