BOOK REVIEW...[ARC] He's So Shy: A Loveswept Classic Romance by Linda Cajio

In this charming tale, a love for the ages leaps off the silver screen, as a famous movie star emerges from his shell—once and for all.

When Penelope Marsh last laid eyes on the gorgeous man standing before her, Richard Creighton had been a skinny nerd with glasses. Now he’s one of the most popular actors in the world. The only reason he’s back in New Jersey is to play the lead in a period piece directed by Penelope’s cousin. But Penelope’s too old for a schoolgirl crush—especially when the crush in question is a sexy Hollywood hunk.

Still sometimes shocked to be the object of a pretty woman’s desire, Richard is most comfortable with the cameras rolling, hiding behind the mask of his carefully crafted characters. Penelope’s presence on the set brings back memories of his painfully shy childhood—and yet he’s powerfully drawn to the willowy schoolteacher with the long legs and vivid blue eyes. Most celebrity romances must weather promiscuous starlets and invasive paparazzi, but Richard faces a different challenge altogether: proving that he’s come into his own since he was a kid—not to Penelope, but to himself.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as excerpts from these Loveswept titles: Along Came Trouble, The Notorious Lady Anne, and Unforgettable.

The synopsis of this book is a bit cliche BUT I'll still admit that it was a cute read that I enjoyed a lot.

Once shy-nerdy guy turned mega superstar, Richard Creighton is at the top of his game in the acting world. He takes upon the lead in a role directed by our female heroine's cousin and sparks fly between them.

Penelope Marsh last laid eyes on Richard when he was a nerdy nobody in elementary school. Now that they're reunited, can her school girl crush be reciprocated or is it simply not meant to be??......

So my thoughts...
Story's pace is a little slow at times for my liking at times.

loved Penelope!! I thought she was a gem.

Richard's character is flawed and relatable. Even as a celebrity, he struggles with insecurities like all of us but his stems from his not so fabulous childhood. Go figure.

Richard and Penelope together?? Very cute. I was smitten with their interactions and banter. They learn a lot from each other about life, love, and coming into your own as a person and being comfortable in your own skin.

Very nice read.
