Plot: She is a woman on the run. Pain, loneliness and terror are what she is leaving. Where she is headed doesn’t matter as long as it’s away from the hell her life has become.
Joshua Bennett is trapped in a prison of his own making by the memories of his past. Traumatized and isolated, he is a reclusive writer, living a quiet, lonely life, his only companion his dog, Bear. It is what he knows, what he has accepted to be his life.
One dark night, one huge storm, and one ice patch brings them together. He finds himself with an unexpected houseguest with no memory. She wakes up a stranger to herself and the man watching her. Even more mysterious is the lack of any sort of identification with her or in her car. She is an enigma to both of them.
Trapped by the storm and isolated from the outside world, they slowly open up, learning to trust and love, until the world once again shows up, threatening the fragile peace of their newly discovered world, and tearing them apart.
There are many twists and turns as they struggle to find each other, overcoming both the mental and physical elements that keep them apart.
A story about overcoming our fears, finding love and learning to live again.

MY REVIEW:
Into the Storm was a lovely, lovely read!
Joshua Bennett is a reclusive writer who spends his life as a hermit, secluding himself away from society while keeping a dog for his only companion.
Elizabeth James, or “Rabbit” as Joshua calls her, is a beautiful, abused, and lost woman on the run battling with the enigma of amnesia.
On a very dark and stormy night… *fine that was a bit cliché!* when a very dangerous snow debacle takes place, the two are brought together and everything changes.
What starts off as Joshua taking in a stranger in need of help turns into something even more.
And as the ice begins to thaw, both Joshua and Rabbit slowly begin to open up to one another and inner demons begin to surface.
Yes, demons guys. Both characters have deep rooted and battered pasts that both continuously struggle to overcome. But, it is with strength, courage, trust, and even love that they make it through their ordeals.
A fantastic read!! I will admit that there are some slow parts (since it is a pretty lengthy story) but over all I enjoyed it very much! It is a story of love, heartbreak, and redemption. I really enjoyed the premise of two broken souls finding each other, healing and mending each others’ wounds, and growing as individuals. It was beautiful and romantic!!
A definite book to pick up!
