"A Maddox boy will take you all the way to the edge, but if you go with him, he'll follow you anywhere...When a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever." - Diane Maddox, Travis' mom
A Beautiful Wedding did just as the synopsis stated:
"Why did Abby pop the question?
What secrets were shared before the ceremony?
Where did they spend their wedding night?
Who else knew about it . . . and didn’t tell?"
It was bittersweet to realize that this is it for our lovely couple but as well all know, "all good things must come to an end."
A Beautiful Wedding not only shows Abby's POV on events but also Travis'. Although I did get Abby's cognitive as to why she wanted a shot gun Vegas wedding, I was still a bit unsatisfied with its entirety. I know that she does love Travis and wanted to protect him this way but I still wished that she'd have done it solely with the reason as to actually wanting to commit herself to Travis and not just trying to save him from the authorities.
As for the wedding night...well Travis...hehe
I could go on and on but it would basically be giving out spoilers on everything since this book is under 100 pages. It's basically like I said in the beginning, it basically just covers the who, the what, the when, and the why.
However, I'll let you guys read it for yourselves and let you be the judge of what you think. For the most part, I think it will either be a hit or miss for you Trabby fans!
"We might be impulsive, and absolutely insane to be standing here at our age, six months after we met.
This whole thing might play out to be a completely wonderful, beautiful disaster, but I want that if it’s with you.”
“Like Johnny and June,” Travis said, his eyes a bit glossed over. “It’s all uphill from here, and I’m going to love every minute of it.”
“You said something at the wedding . . . that we were like Johnny and June. I didn’t quite get the reference.”
He smirked. “You don’t know about Johnny Cash and June Carter?”
“She fought him tooth and nail, too. They fought, and he was stupid about a lot of stuff. They
worked it out and spent the rest of their lives together.”
