BOOK REVIEW...Fly You To The Moon by Jocelyn Han

Title: Fly You To The Moon
Author:  Jocelyn Han
Publication Date: December 17th 2013 by Dutch Venture Publishing
Goodreads URL: HERE
Plot:  After her father’s death, the last thing Ava Windsor wants is to leave Earth and move to an Elite colony on the moon for the next ten months. Nicolas, a half-uncle she doesn’t even remember meeting, is to be her custodian until she reaches the age of twenty-one. Until then, she is not allowed to touch the money her dad has left her. Being the only child of a disowned Elite father and a common mother just got a lot more complicated.

But surviving among the Luna Six Elitists who treat commoners as servants should have been the least of Ava’s worries. Nicolas Carter is nothing like she expected. He condemns the Elite lifestyle, he is a lot younger than her father, and he is definitely way sexier.
Ten months on the moon seem like an eternity if you know you shouldn’t be falling for your guardian… but just can’t help yourself.

A sweet, steamy romance novella for lovers of New Adult with a hint of Futuristic.

**CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**

What if you fell in love with your half-uncle?

Well....this is EXACTLY what happens to Ava Windsor!!

After her father tragically dies, Ava is uprooted from Earth to live with her estranged uncle in an Elite colony located on the moon. What she expects to be an old geezer turns into a 32-year old sex on legs-playboy who does not play into the Elite lifestyle and ideals.

He and Ava then struggle with their attraction for one another as family, class, and expectations rein their ugly head and other suitors compete for both of their affections.

Will Nicolas allow his friend to sweep up the girl of his dreams due to his own insecurities? And will Ava give up the fight for Nicolas' heart and settle for second best?

My thoughts: Over all, I did like this story. Albeit, it does have it's snags but it does work for me.

One of my biggest concerns though was the fact that Ava is the niece of this guy and already from the get go they're salivating over one other. Isn't that kinda fast and uh considered incest?

What also deterred me, was the fact that their relationship developed too rapidly for my liking and seemed basically thwarted on lust. I mean, they barely even know and interact with each other. How can they fall head over heels in love? I just don't get it.

After all, both are individuals who don't really know their place in the world: Nicolas is still trying to figure himself out; whereas, Ava still needs time to go out in the world and find herself before she makes such a serious commitment.

Other than that, it was a nice, steamy read. The ending kind of left me unsettled and it definitely could have done without the sex scene between Nicolas and Clea which totally gauged my eyeballs while reading it but oh well.

But on the bright side, it was nice seeing Alen again!! He's featured in the follow up novel called, MAKE YOU SEE STARS. :) I heart him!

Anyways, I'll end my rambling here. A flawed yet enjoyable romance!

My Rating:

-Overall : 8
-Plot : 8
-Writing : 8
