Hemy Knox has lived a bleak and troubling existence. Turning to drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity to numb out his demons, he ultimately loses the one person who actually meant to him+loved him unconditionally:Onyx Paige.
Fast forward four years, where a chance encounter in the Walk of Shame leads Hemy to meeting up with his first love again. A changed man (- the manwhore part), Hemy decides once and for all that enough is enough and he is NOT letting Onyx go without a fight.
"I'm not letting you run away from me again, from us. You can hurt me all you want. You could stomp on me till I'm no longer breathing and it wouldn't make a difference. I'm. Not. Going. Anywhere."
Only problem is: Onyx refuses to have anything to do with Hemy and wants him to experience the same heartache that she went through after all those years.
Not to mention, Lux is hiding something...something that could tear her entire relationship with Hemy apart.
"You're probably going to hate me forever but I did it for a good reason. It's just too bad it's going to hurt us all in the end."
What secret could Onyx be hiding? And will she ever open herself up to giving Hemy a second chance at her heart?

My thoughts:
A wonderful follow up to the Walk of Shame series that has a dirty talking male heroine with a pierced c*ck, steamy sex scenes, some voyeurism and even F/M and F/M/M action!!
Add on top of that, some depth and a vulnerability that is so fervent and compelling, and you will be immediately sold!
Hemy is very raw, passionate and realistic, as well as persistent toward what he wants which is Onyx. So endearing yet sensual and adorable at the same time.
He is a character with flaws and faults who comes from a tragic past. He doesn't handle his circumstances well, and in turn, takes for granted what good he did have before it costed him dearly.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be here for you like you were there for me. I just...I had to numb myself from the world. I had a constant storm of f*#cked up memories in my head that consumed me. I can't change the past, but I can promise you better for the future."
Sounds like something that occurs everyday in REAL LIFE, don't you think?
Onyx, on the other hand, (and btw, what a cool name!!), is a woman full of heart but spurned by love. I admired her strength and determination throughout the read and understood her plight and motives for why she acted and behaved the way she did. It was very honest.
Only thing is...not all good intentions mean positive results and Onyx learns this the hard way:
"I never meant to hurt anyone, but you have to understand that Hemy is a different person than the one I knew years ago."
#So all in all, another plus this erotic series!! I REALLY loved the dynamic of Onyx X Hemy on their road towards their own HEA!! I will definitely be on the lookout for more from the men of the WOS and can't wait for Cal's story!! I would have actually preferred a novella dedicated toward Stone and his lady love (I freakin' ship them btw!!) or even a Nico read but beggars can't be choosers! Haha.

“Well, I’m here, Hemy.” She runs her fingers across the
wall while making her way over to the couch, seductively. She looks over her
shoulder at me. “Are you sure you can handle this?” The girl I knew four years
ago is forever gone. I need to keep reminding myself. We are on a different
game level now.
I swallow
back my anger and focus all my energy on pleasing her. I just need to remember
that she needs this to move on from the world of hurt I bestowed on her. She
needs me to feel what she felt. “I can handle a lot of shit. Pleasing you is
one.” I nod my head toward Nico. “This is Nico. He’s yours to do with as you
please.”
“Nico.” She
smiles while leaning against the back of the couch. “I like that name. Come
here, big guy.”
Nico looks at
me in hesitation before I motion for him to go. The faster, the better, cause
after this is done, she’s staying with me. I don’t care what it takes. She’ll
sleep in my bed and wake up in my bed.
Already
knowing the plan, Nico walks over to stand in front of Onyx. He wraps one arm
around her waist while fisting her hair and kissing her neck.
Onyx lets out
a little moan as her eyes connect with mine. I hold her stare and bite my
bottom lip as I nod my head for her to go on. I’m not surprised that she’s a
tad hesitant.
Grabbing onto
the top of Nico’s shirt, Onyx pulls him into her, causing them both to fall
over onto the couch. His lips instantly seek hers as he buries himself between
her legs and squeezes her bare thigh.
I walk over
to the leather chair and take a seat in front of them. As much as I hate the
thought of someone touching her, I can’t help my cock from getting hard. The
plan is to watch him touch her, taste her, and arouse her for a while before I
join. It’s how Nico always does it with me. Sitting here now, in his seat, I’m
not sure how he does it.
“Take her
dress off,” I command.
