Prince Louie has always been content with his role as the second son. He is not someone who embraces responsibility and who is willing to sacrifice his freedom. Mina has known the princes all her life. While her aunt worked in the royal palace, she shared her childhood with the brothers. Soon the playful games with Sedgwick turned into first love and the teasing from Louie turned into a low tolerance for him. Never seeing the truth of Louie or his heart, but giving hers to Sedgwick who is torn between his love for her and his loyalty to his father and his duty as the next king of Serenity.

Kindness of Kings was an unexpected, astonishing read that integrally tugged at my heartstrings!! It teaches you about the different multitudes of self virtue and the importance of discovering your own sense of worth in the world; as well as, touches home about digging deep within yourself, no matter how bleak the prospect may be, to meet and rise above any obscure challenges you may face in life.
Louie-
our male protagonist, is the second born son and the black sheep of the royal family. He is simply a misunderstood fellow, who albeit can be quite the ladies man and stir his share of trouble, he nevertheless has a heart of gold that outshines all of his bad facets.
Louie is kind, benevolent, righteous, selfless, courageous, and initially possesses no ambition to further himself in the monarchical world.
♡♥Unbeknownst to Sedgwick and Mina, he has always been in love with Mina and has behind the scenes always looked out for her as her own personal guardian angel. He will do anything to guarantee her (and the people he loves’) safety at all costs. Even if it means, going against all that he's believed in, and challenging his brother and father to rights over the throne.
Sedgwick-
is Louie’s older brother and their nation's Crown Prince. He wants to do what’s right and make his father proud by becoming the next King of his kingdom. But yet, but doesn’t have the leadership skills nor capacity to do so.
♡ Sedgwick is also Mina’s boyfriend and is irrevocably and completely in love with her.
Mina-
is Sedgwick and Louie’s love interest. She is kind, compassionate, and is the niece of one of the royal servants.
♡ Sedgwick is her first love (and she is his vice versa) and although she loves him deeply, things take a turn for the worst, and their [romantic] relationship is severed.
Mina then begins spending time with Louie and although they don't hit it off at first, as time would have it, they develop a deep bond between one another and Mina begins seeing Louie in a different light. ♥
King Caius- is the father of Sedgwick and Louie and the ruler of Serenity. He rules his kingdom with an iron fist, based on fear and tyranny, and has dragged his kingdom into major economical debt causing for uprisings and riots from the people.
He hates Louie and favors Sedgwick and will do anything to make sure that Louie will fail…even if it means to kill his own son.

Christina and Bartleby- are Louie and Mina’s besties and are quite the pair. Very loyal and will go though all lengths to do right by their childhood pals.

Since I was a kid, I've always had a an imagination that consumed me in more ways than one. I used to think I was weird because of it, but due to the people who support me, I realized God gave me a gift. So that's my story.
