Title:  Sharing You (Sharing You #1)
Author:  Molly McAdams
Publication Date:  July 1st 2014 by William Morrow Paperbacks

Plot:  Twenty-three year old, Kamryn Cunningham has left all she’s ever known and moved to a small town where no one knows her name, who her parents are, or her social status in the horseracing world. Months after opening her own bakery and evading attempts of being set up by her new best friend, she meets Brody. Kamryn fights the instant pull between them because there’s a detail she can’t dismiss. Brody’s married.

To say that twenty-six year old, Brody Saco has had a rough marriage would be an understatement. After marrying his pregnant girlfriend, he spends the next six years in a relationship filled with hatred, manipulation and guilt involving a tragedy that happened five years earlier. When he keeps running into his sister-in-law’s best friend, Kamryn, he can’t ignore that she makes him feel more with just one look than his wife ever has; and soon he can’t continue fight his feelings for her.

When staying apart proves to be too difficult, Brody and Kamryn enter a relationship full of stolen moments and nights that end too soon while they wait for Brody to file for divorce. But the guilt that comes with their relationship may prove to be too much for Kamryn, and Brody might not be strong enough to face the tragedy from his past in order to leave his conniving wife.

Sharing You is one of those reads where you either love it or hate it. Before you pick it up and begin reading it please be prepared about a few things: 1) it involves cheating 2) there is a love triangle and insta-love between the characters 3) and there will be A LOT of dramatic events and unnecessary stress that the characters put themselves through.

Personally, I just don’t know what I make of this book. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t horrible either. Story line wise, I knew what I was getting myself into but I do have to admit that there were times that I was either banging my head or felt that the book went off the deep end.

I'm not saying that situations portrayed in Sharing You does not happen in real life because let's face it, it does. Here you have a guy, Brody Saco, who married his high school sweetheart because she got pregnant. Then tragedy strikes and six years later, he finds himself trapped in an unhappy marriage with an unstable and psychotic wife.

And as luck would have it, in comes the light to his dark and depressing world, and he finds himself succumbing the second chance to redeem himself and fall in love.

So who’s this mystery lady that has stolen his heart and given him hope at redemption? Why, she is: Kamryn Cunningham.

So... Kamryn or "KC" as she goes by.

Having been born into wealth and privilege, Kamryn is what you could say, belongs to the royal family of the racing world. But, when your life is made up for you and controlled, even your future spouse and place in life, a girl has got to take matters into her own hands.

So what does she do? She runs away across the country and disguises her identity to start over on her terms. Ingenious, huh? But when one of your best friend’s brother in law catches your eye and just so happens to be married, will this end well for Kamryn and Brody or crumble to pieces?

Read and you will find out!

My thoughts: It’s kind of like I said in the beginning of my review, I can actually see scenarios of what goes on here happening in real life minus Kamryn going into hiding from her own family and trying to hide who she is. For Brody’s marriage and wife going down the destructive path: well, first thing’s first: it’s easy to picture a guy “manning up” to “take responsibility” and feel that it is his duty to marry the woman that you knocked up. It’s what a lot of guys do these days.

As for Brody’s wife: YES, she is over the top and bat sh*# crazy like many needy and overzealous wives or girlfriends BUT she does have her reasons. You can't COMPLETELY hate her for it. She just needs help.

And LASTLY. As for Brody getting involved with Kamryn: as the saying goes, “you can’t help who you love” or who you let into your heart. He and his wife were not “gellin’” and when he found someone who could make him happy (and vice versa), he went for it. Reluctantly, in the beginning of course.

So over all, not a train wreck like I thought it could be, but it is taxing on your mind that reality can be fickle and harsh at times. It’s about two people at a crossroads with one taking control of her life while the guy is just trying to make the past right and move on with his life.

  An alright read in general.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and furry four-legged daughters. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
