Sweet Perdition was a good start to Cynthia Rayne’s Four Horsemen MC series. It had all of the things you could want in an MC book and then some.
Normally, while I do love myself a good MC read, I had grown weary and sort of tired of this genre as a lot of what I had been coming across were practically all the same and all falling into similar patterns: sex, booze, a lot of f bombs, sexist comments, grit, and ridiculous biker drama. Blah, blah, blah.
So what made me like this book?
It has NO instantaneous love story line going on! I fricken' HATE that! *ugh!* While both characters are very attracted to one another, they don’t start sprouting declarations of everlasting love right away like most books.
No, they start off at two totally opposite totem poles where the guy who is a total commitment-phobe and a woman looking to a bleak future at being alone.
But of course…one night changes everything and Ryker feels his sinuous, no holds barred world turning upside down.
Unnerved by Elizabeth’s new presence in his life, Ryker tries to push his feelings away for her and carry on as he had always had.
But when danger lurks itself and Ryker finds it targeting Elizabeth, can Ryker protect her without losing his heart in the process? And will Elizabeth ultimately be his eventual game changer? His ONE exception to his one night stand rule?
Read and you will find out!
##Not bad, not bad for a beginning Ms. Rayne! While I do think that there is a few glitches to be worked on, I do look forward to reading more form your MC series!##
