Robin McArthur is a girl who on the outside seems like could want nothing more. She has looks, wealth, privilege, and status; everything a young woman could hope for. That is, in retrospect, to what she really and truly wants but lacks: love.
But….what happens when that is all taken away from her? Left with no money and debt collectors knocking on her door, Robin and her dad go on the run and slowly by slowly Robin feels herself doing the unexpected to survive: lying, stealing, and deceiving to stay afloat.
Now at a crossroads, fates steps in and she meets Creek, another lost soul with a criminal track but “a heart of gold.” Robin bonds with Creek and learns the importance of love, family, and that some of the most precious things in life can’t be measured in money.
Which brings me back to…
What about her major debt problem to clear up?
Well, once again, here’s where Creek steps in. Along with Robin, they stage a series of bank robberies and slowly gain back the money to put them in the green.
Only, making up the money that is owed becomes just a part of the problem. When trouble comes lurking its way and Robin finds herself slipping only deeper into the insurmountable. Will she get caught?
Will Robin ever get the chance in regaining a “normal” life? Will her father’s past indiscretions be solved? And what about Creek? How will things turn out for the teen that’d been not so long ago on the wrong side of the tracks but not so different from her after all?
