BOOK REVIEW...Storm Damages by Magda Alexander

A Good Girl with a weakness for bad boys

Everything's on track for promising law student Elizabeth Watson to snag an associate position at the law firm where she works. She can have it all—a brilliant future, a lucrative career, and the money to claw out of her dirt poor background. As long as she stays out of trouble. But trouble is just what walks in one scorching hot summer day in the form of beautiful, brilliant, damaged Gabriel Storm, the head of the company her law firm is negotiating against.

A Bad Boy with a penchant for trouble

The scion of a powerful British family, Gabriel Storm seems to have it all—wealth, charm, killer looks and world class smarts. Except he doesn’t. Someone is threatening the company he's fought hard to build, the family he treasures. If he doesn't play his cards right, he may lose his business, his family, his honor. With his life spiraling out of control, he reaches out to the one woman who gives him what he needs. Problem is, being with her means losing everything else.

My brief thoughts:

SO....Good girl has a weakness for bad boys...meets HER OWN bad boy...bad boy pursues her relentlessly and is mighty sexy while doing it...the two fall in love but trouble arises.... *Gah I want that!! Just not the trouble part!*
........

A VERY nice book debut from Magda Alexander!!  A friend of mine had added this book to her TBR shelf on goodreads and I knew that the moment I saw it I had to have it!! ;)

Gabriel Storm definitely met my addiction for alpha possessive males.  He's rich, powerful, and smart.  Not to mention he's quite the charmer and is ultra dominant and a total bad a*s.  Especially in the bedroom!! Hehe.

Elizabeth, on the other hand is just your everyday ordinary girl trying to make something of herself.  She works at a law firm in hopes of one day acquiring a more steady and higher income position and meets Gabriel there.

Sparks fly between the two and they taken on a tumultuous affair.  Only, when clashing between their pasts, social status', rising corporate tensions,  and outside forces come into play how will it all unfold?
.....

My analysis:

While I will admit that the saying "opposites attract" comes into view here, I think my only complaint about the story is the ROMANCE element between Gabriel and Elizabeth.   While I did find Gabriel's persistence to pursue Elizabeth swoon worthy (*since she was very hesitant and reluctant to embark into a relationship with him in the beginning) , sometimes it seemed more like LUST over love.

I would like to see more of an actual 'relationship' between the two in the next installment and without giving anything away it should be possible since it's basically back to square one for Gabriel and Elizabeth.

With that said, over all "Storm Damages" was a great read.  Quite the page turner!  It kept me very engaged and enraptured for 2 hours.  I'm not saying this to please or placate the author since I had actually requested a review copy for my blog but I GENUINELY liked it.  The ending was a definite shocker and made me sad for Elizabeth as it is quite a cliffhanger (at least in my eyes it is).  Ms.  Alexander does do us readers the courtesy however of giving us a sneak peak of the next book in the series, "Storm Damages 2," and fuels my curiosity even more as to how Gabriel and Elizabeth's sizzling romance will turn out.  Will the two work out or are things just not meant to be?  I can't wait to find out!!

Gosh, I want the next book to come out already!

"You taste like peaches. Wonder what the rest of you tastes like?"

“Look at me.” He orders.

    Slowly, my gaze engages his.

“I’m going to fuck you like you’ve never been fucked before.”

    I don’t doubt him for a second.

“I can smell how much you want me. It makes me want to rip off your clothes, fuck you right here, right now....I’m going to fuck you until you don’t know whether it’s day or night.”

Isn't he dreamy?...
