Plot:   When tiger shifter Dax's brother Fin, decides to welcome his brothers mate with streaking across the meadow, he created a hailstorm of fury, not laughter. Adding to the fated melee, Dax's ex fiancé, Sparrow, bursts upon the scene with hopes of a reconciliation. 

Things turn from bad to worse when Dax’s mate, Zhara, bolts from the heartache and runs straight into Sparrows, biker brother Starl. 

Zhara’s dreams of making a good impression on her boyfriend’s family not only go up in flames, but an inferno of misunderstandings. When she catches Dax in the arms of his ex, she follows her instincts. 

Sadly they send her straight into Starls arms. A smoking hot biker shifter who turns things even more topsy-turvy. 

Will yanking the tiger’s tail destroy the couple for good, or will Dax unsheathe his claws for the fight of life and mate?

MY REVIEW:

So basically, short story even more condensed: Dax brings home Zhara to meet his family where he hopes to initiate her into mating with him.

[[ And oh! BTW: Dax, is a tiger shifter while Zhara is just a human!!]]

Things terribly go wrong for the couple for shortly after they arrive at Dax’s parents’ home for Fin, Dax’s mischievous brother, pulls a streaking prank which nearly has the two brothers at blows.

And to make matters worse...

When Dax's disgruntled ex-fiancee, Sparrow, shows up in the midst to raise some hell between our two lovers, it ultimately has our human heroine running for the hills only to end up in the arms of Sparrow’s sexy biker older brother, Starl.

Hmm.. Love triangle perhaps? Well, you’ll just have to read and see!!

Can Dax and Zhara kiss and “mate” up? Or are their fates just not meant to be?

My thoughts: Wow, talk about a story based on misunderstandings!! Sheesh.

To Yank a Tiger By the Tail was a fast and sweet romance that I read in about 30 minutes!

I won’t go into vivid detail and analyze the story even more than I did in my summary but I do wish that the story was a bit longer and elaborated more on certain parts. I mean, I just felt that Dax and Zhara’s relationship was so formulated like 1+1 = 2.

Meaning, there’s no real explanation to their relationship other than they met here, he knew she was his mate, and he works his “magic” and BAAM they’re together! It’s like “Me Tarzan, you Jane” equals to “We belong together forever.”

*sighs*

It honestly just felt as if they were just paired up without even knowing anything about each other at all. After all, Zhara didn't even know that Dax had been engaged before! How can you be with someone who keeps things like that from you?!

*Shakes head at Dax*

And another thing:

While I did get that Dax was born a shifter, I didn’t get the background behind it and the capabilities that being a tiger would give you (e.g. abilities, powers, etc) and how it works.

Maybe I’m reading into this too much or maybe I mysteriously missed it. I don’t know. I’m nosey like that! Haha

Anyways, a nice introductory to the world of Bobbi Romans for me! I hope that there will be a sequel on Fin and him and Dax’s other siblings. As well as Starl!
