Title:  The Prospective Princess
Author:  Kary Rader
Genre:  New Adult Fantasy Romance
Publication Date:  September 23rd 2014 by Boroughs Publishing Group

Plot:  Giving up the beautiful Lady Brislyn is only the first step toward Commander Marchant saving her from Darkness—and then winning her heart.

Five years ago Lady Brislyn of Komissa fell in love. Five years ago her heart was broken, never to be mended. But when one careless act finds her abducted by marauders and forcibly betrothed to a seductive enemy prince, there’s only one man she can count on to free her: Her father’s brilliant—and devastatingly handsome—military commander. The very man who rejected her.

Five years ago, Commander Marchant rebuffed the fifteen-year-old daughter of his duke. Now she is a woman grown, a Gifted musician whose song captured his heart. Yet Brislyn is not so easily reclaimed. To save her from one royal suitor, he must make a show of engaging her to another. Then March will rescue the kidnapped lady or die in the perilous journey to reach her. If he can survive the storms, the pirates, and the princes, he will win back Brislyn’s heart.

 My Review

Five years ago, 15-year old Lady Brislyn confessed her undying love and affection to Commander Marchant but had gotten vehemently rebuffed and rejected. She then swore that he would regret it, and when he did, she wouldn’t be there to welcome it.

Now 20 years old, the man who once denied her affections is the one now pursuing her and trying to rescue her at all costs from the evil clutches and plans of the Emperor of Isla Vis.

Brislyn is Marchant's siren—his song, and he’ll do anything to get her out of harm’s way and to finally claim her as his.

Will love truly be enough? Will Marchant save Brislyn in time and prove to her that he's a changed man? Will light prevail over darkness and quench the evil Emperor’s thirst for power and domination?

Read and you will find out!

My thoughts: For those of you who have read The Pirate Princess, The Prospective Princess nicely ties in with its story line as lot of the plot scenes intersect and mirror one another. What at times may be faded out in here may be expanded and further explained in Pirate Princess, i.e.- Petra and Charlee, Marisol and “Manny”, the outcome with the tyrannical Emperor of Isla Vis, etc.

As for book one of the series, Queen of Jastain, I cannot vouch if it foreshadows or better explains anything that occurs in Prospective Princess, since I have not read it myself, but—I think it really just is a prelude to everything is all of how The King and Queen of Jastain came to be and their tumultuous love story. Don't quote me on it though! I could be wrong!

#Anyway, a great third installment from this series! I enjoyed it a lot!

My Rating:
-Overall : 8
-Plot : 8
-Writing : 8
-Characters : 8
-Cover : 8
