Now, with his football days behind him, Landon learns some hard truths filled with lies, betrayal, greed, and deceit.
And moves back to his hometown to start anew.
There, he meets Autumn McCray,
the girl he looked but never noticed in high school, working for his mother at a cake shop, and the sparks instantly fly.
BUT THEN!

And Landon's hopes of making a fresh start with Autumn are immediately put to the test, where they both quickly learn that it’s not always so easy when it comes to the game of love.

So, my thoughts:
Criticism- wise, all I would say is that I would have liked a little more interactions and gradual development between the two lead characters. Sometimes things between Landon and Autumn moved a little too fast [for my taste].
Otherwise, it was a very cute, charming, contemporary love story that even non- sports lovers can appreciate!!
Literally, made me think of cupcakes, flowers, and rainbows!! It really did! With some added spice in the mix!! *wink wink* lol
Author Rachael Duncan writes a compelling and engaging read that will have you front row going through the motions of both Landon and Autumn’s highs and lows and want to knock the shizhit out of Landon’s wife, Valerie.

And with that bomb of a revelation dropped on Landon, I instantly felt for him and would have gone bonkers like how he did! What a scandal!
And don’t even get me started on that HOT, HOT, HOT scene on that table!! Woohoo!! I was SOLD, I tell you! SOLD!

In a
quiet, husky tone, Landon says, “I don’t know what it is about you, but I can’t
help myself. I want to devour every inch of your skin every second I’m with
you, and I think about all the places I want to feel you when I’m not.” And if
I didn’t need new panties before, I definitely do now. I’ve never had a guy
turn me on like this with simple words. His eyes remain on the road, but each
syllable has left a hot trail straight to my most intimate parts. Because my
brain has completely fizzled out, I’m left speechless. “Did I scare you?” He
glances over at me with a sexy grin on his face.
“No,
just processing. I’ve never had a guy talk to me that way before.” I look out
my window, nervous to meet his eyes.
“And
how am I talking to you?” His tone is commanding, like he wants to hear exactly
what he does to me.
“Like
you’re going to eat me alive and do things I couldn’t possibly recover from.”
My voice comes out breathy as my own desires become quite obvious.
“I
wouldn’t mind eating something, but I promise you’ll survive it, sweetheart.
Barely.” My eyes widen and my skin instantly heats up all over. He gives me a
knowing look and responds with a wink. My mouth goes completely dry and I
suddenly have a very vivid imagination that runs wild with all the things he
could do to me.

Rachael Duncan is an Army wife to her amazing husband, Steven, and mother to their beautiful daughters, Natalie and Zoe.
