Childstar 1 entails of two former child stars and ex first loves, and their growth through pressuring careers, second chance romances, dodgy home situations, and other joys and woes of adulthood.
“I’ve spent my life moving from movie set as the cute, adorable, America’s sweetheart—Amelia Landon. But today marks my twenty-fifth birthday, halfway to thirty. I am now officially too old to be called “cutie,” and on top of that, my career is about to come to a flaming end if I don’t do something drastic.”
Now at a crossroads and a standstill in both of their careers, America’s golden girl and Hollywood’s bad boy, are about to be put into the biggest roles of their lives that can make or completely break them--- but can they separate what’s real and what’s left on screen? Sometimes passions run brighter on and off regardless. And with supporters and oppositions against them, how will everything turn out? Lights, camera, action, ladies and gents.
So, this being a goodbye departure from Ms. McAvoy’s previous works, this has had to be my biggest risk taker and greatest reward. Why, you may ask? Well, if I’m being totally honest with myself, I was originally going to skip over this read due to it seeming like any typical Hollywood book plotline. That is, until, I kept coming across my goodreads feed from fellow buddy bloggers, raving on and on about how great this book really was, that finally got me to change my mind and pique my interest. From there, I just had to get my hands on this read and see what it was all about, and I’m glad I did!!
Thank you, JJ McAvoy, for approving my ARC request and giving me a fresh, alluring, and innovative read with a sexy and also dangerous twist!! Gah, I love, LOVED this!! I’m definitely sticking around for more! For a novella, it throttled on all cylinders, was evocative, and packed a punch!! Certainly, what I was looking to get me out of my recent book rut!! I'm literally now itching for bk2 already!!! *gah!!*

Childstar2 follows the story of Noah Sloan and Amelia London. Now together, and unraveling some unexpected and harrowing truths, two of America's child star prodigies are up against expectations from the public, themselves, and some deadly forces that will stop at nothing to get what they want.
And with the premier of their movie, Sinners Like Us, being moved further up for release, can both Noah and Amelia amount to what's at stake for them, while keeping the facade that all's well when it's literally coming apart by the seams?......
Author JJ McAvoy definitely throws you in for a loop in this one, as I was enthralled with the tumultuous tale that balances eroticism and suspense, and did not know what to expect next.
The sex and foreplay scenes that took place during filming!! Omigah!! Soooo hot!!
And the cliffy at the ending!! Nooo!! I want book 3 already!!! You can't leave me hanging like that!! Argh!! *cues the angst*
Omigah! The dramatic turn of events!! And Noah’s brother! Ah, such a pity.“Everyone is ruthless. They just don’t know it until they need to.”
In the third and final puzzle piece of the Childstar Series, both Noah and Amelia find themselves in a sticky web of lies, trouble, and deceit.
With the upcoming release of a movie that could make or break their careers, and blood on their hands, the heat is on, as our heroines try to figure out how to make what happened disappear, while also keeping themselves above water from the Irish mafia.
The time is ticking, and with their lives in at stake, and everything they’ve ever worked for, will time be on their side? Or will the odds be against them?
I have to say, I had no idea how Noah and Amelia were going to get themselves out of their predicaments. It was an endless amount of problems and possibilities that could have them incarcerated, scorned, and cost them their very own lives.

It was ever so intriguing, the parallels between Noah and Amelia's personalitiesXordeals, in regards to their onscreen characters in their movie, Sinners Like Us. It was so candidly similar and yet so different. I couldn't get over how well it suited them.
“In two hours, we will be acting as Blair and Damon, criminals and lovers…does art imitate life, or does life imitate art?”
While Amelia is trying to make sense and atone for what had transcribed in bk2…Noah, on the other hand, has his estranged father causing havoc and mayhem to clear up, while trying to protect himself and his ladylove from total destruction.
Author JJ McAvoy holds no punches in this riveting and thrilling series conclusion that will leave you speechless and amazed. I look forward to more from this author, and hope for more great things in the future!!
