A tumultuous affair, perhaps, something MORE.

When an ex-underground fighter turned business mogul Jake Hopper sets sight on the fair Ella Michel he just HAS TO have her. Possess her. Own her.
There is just one catch: Ella has a boyfriend. A rich and powerful one at that.

But with a deadly obsession lurking in the air… with a dangerous fixation upon Ella, that neither Jake nor the Feds can pinpoint or control...

Will time prove not to be in Jake and Ella’s favor, as the stakes are risen, and dire consequences unfold themselves?

And with a big foreboding of---
Love.Sex.Murder.Insanity.Compulsion.Mystery.

In the air, how will it all end? Will Jake and Ella’s love survive the deadly entity looking to kill and stake a claim on Ella as theirs? Or will everything end up in blood and tatters?

For the most part, this book was pretty suspenseful. I spent a lot of it trying to determine who the big baddie was and what their motive was. To say I was shocked, would sum up what I felt. I didn’t expect that!

Otherwise, as for Jake and Ella, well, a lot of their parts felt redundant and like going in circles. I loved that Jake was alpha and possessive, but sometimes his and Ella’s relationship sometimes felt based on lust, sex, obsessive tendencies, and even jealousy. I don’t really get what makes them coming back to one another other than each other’s looks and the out of this world bedroom kinks.

And Ella’s intangible, out of this world beauty? Wah, she must be Aphrodite incarnated or something because she has SO MANY dang suitors! And then to have them be so gah-gah and go ballistic over her, reminded me of Helen of Troy. How men would go to war for her. Hmmm.

I don’t know. This book was a mere borderline for me. I liked it, but I would have liked more actually rapport and relationship building between both main protagonists instead of the repetitive themes and circumstances that I kept on seeing.

 About the Author

I work as a freelance database administrator, and when I’m not geeking out, I write romantic suspense novels. I live in Richmond, Va—less than two hours away from Washington DC—so most of the settings of my books are in the nation’s capital—of course, I’m not averse to creating fictional towns and cities. ;)

When I’m not arguing with the alpha male characters in my head, I love to watch high-octane action movies. I think Jack Bauer is the shit, which is why most of my characters are such badasses bent on saving the world from evil doers.

I love reading adult contemporary, paranormal, urban fantasy, historical, romantic suspense, and a few new adult fiction as well as military non-fiction.
