Edward shocked everyone when he embraced his love for David, but a wedding seems further away than ever before. Will the couple finally make the leap? It’s going to be a scandalous, steamy holiday season for each of them.

 My Review

☆ I received an ARC via Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆

To be honest, there wasn't a whole lot going on in this novel except a peak more of what everyone's been up to or what new developments unfolded.  While I was excited to see more of Clara and Alexander, and also Smith and Belle,  I was like, "was this book really needed?".  I mean, I liked it, I did.  But book 6, which I thought was actually the final book of the series, concluded the story quite nicely.  Book 7 felt a bit like adding frosting to a already finished cake.  Nice but not necessary.

I think if anything, seeing the foundation of what Clara and Alexander built as the newly crowned king and queen and getting to see them with their child *and no this is not a spoiler alert if you've kept up to date with the series* was pretty much the cherry on top for me in this read as well as the steamy smutt scenes **hehe.**  I always did have a weakness to ultra hot alpha males, their females, forbidden fruit, smut, royalty, and babies in my reads after all. >_<

Blog Review & Excerpt Tour Blitz!- Real Good Man (Real Duet #1) by Meghan March

rgmBANNER
Title:  Real Good Man (Real Duet #1)
Author: Meghan March
Genre: Suspense
Publication Date: January 3rd 2017 by Red Dress Press
Plot: From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes a sexy new duet. We've all had the bad boys, now it's time for a Real Good Man.

Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell.
Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right?
Wrong. It’s better.
Banner Regent is smart, funny, and she’s so far out of my league, she might as well be royalty.
I’m a mechanic from Kentucky. She’s a New York City party girl.
We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming.
How do you seduce the woman who already has everything?
Show her what it’s like to be with a real good man.

Real Good Man is book one of the Real Duet. Logan and Banner's story will conclude in Real Good Love, releasing January 17, 2017.

 My Review

My book departure from 2016, I was pleasantly unsurprised that I fell in love with this novel as well.  Following author Meghan March's books from the very beginning and venturing through every one, I found Real Good Man another charming and seductive read. I mean, who knew that playful texting could bring a small town guy and city girl into such a dyanmic, yet sexy and endearing read?!

Logan, gah, he's one of those guys you hope to find yourself on a road trip and find true love with.  He was definitely my last book official bookfriend to end and start off a new year for sure!!  Such a hard working, amazing, and possessive guy with a filthy mouth!! Wowza, my ovaries were certainly on overload.

Banner.  I found her refreshing.  She was a different kind of female heroine and I enjoyed all of her antics and kicks with Logan.  I would be thrown through the sensuous loop too!

Anyway, love LOVED this!! Can't wait for bk2!!

 Excerpt

Finally, fifteen minutes after we said we’d meet, Logan Brantley walks into the tapas bar. Every curse word known to woman—and several I make up on the fly—flash through my brain.
This isn’t fair. Logan Brantley is even sexier when he’s not dressed in camo and carrying a big gun. More than one head swings in his direction. Women flip their hair and uncross and re-cross their legs as he steps up to the hostess stand.
A shaft of possessiveness lights up inside me, right along with nervous energy and my pounding heart. Back off, bitches. He’s not here for you.
I hear the low rumble of his deep drawl when he speaks to the hostess. She gestures in my direction, and he turns. Piercing blue eyes find me at the table where a lone water glass sits in front of me.
Liquid courage should definitely have been on the menu. Why didn’t I order a drink?
Because I’m an idiot. Because I thought I could handle this.
Now my heart is hammering so loud, my voice will probably be inaudible, or even worse—quaver when I speak.
Logan walks toward me with long, sure strides. He’s taller than I realized. And broader. And bigger. Everywhere. He’s wearing a black Henley that stretches across his chest, leaving no doubt of the fact that the man is built. And his jeans. Jesus. They’re worn and snug in all the right places.
The picture I found was clearly not recent, and it’s not just the fact that his brown hair is longer and shaggier. He’s one of those men who age well.
Logan stops in front of me when he reaches the tall bar table. He says nothing as his gaze drops to the toes of my boots and drags up every inch of my body.
“You’re a hard woman to find.”

I’ve had my fair share of bad boys, but nothing prepared me for what it was like to be with a real good man.

Somewhere along the way, what started as a fling became the best part of my life.
He makes me want all the things I’ve never had, like forever and happily ever after, but nothing worth having comes easily.

Blog Tour Review!- Face-Off at the Altar (Assassins, #9) by Toni Aleo

IMG_1722 (1).PNGTitle: Pieces (Patchworks #1)
Author: Toni Aleo
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: June 27th 2016 by Toni Aleo Books LLC
Plot: Markus Reeves is sucking. Big-time. Toiling away on a minor-league hockey team hundreds of miles away from home, he's watching his dreams of an NHL career fade away. Add in the lingering guilt he has over the dramatic demise of his relationship with college girlfriend, Mekena, and he's a mess on and off the ice.

But the family of his heart, the Sinclairs, won't let Markus suffer any longer. When he arrives himself back in Nashville for a trial run on the Assassins, it feels like his life may be making a turn for the better. If only he could get Mekena to forgive him...

Mekena Preston has been hurting since fleeing Nashville following the horror of Markus's betrayal with her sister. Now a professional photographer, Mekena finds herself in the same place at the same time with Markus to celebrate Lucy and Benji Paxton's wedding. Neither of them has been able to move on—and they're starting to wonder if they really want to.

They're headed for a face-off at the altar unless they can confront their past and unearth the truth about what really happened on that fateful night.

 My Review

☆ I received an Ardent Rose PR in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! ☆

The Assassins is by far my favorite hockey themed romances thus far and this one was another gem of a romance.  While I could not remember all of the details from the previous books to get all of the lowdown from a few characters that we met from the Assassins novels, I could easily follow along and invest myself with the story and its characters.  They were very easy to like and relatable.

Sure, I'm not going to lie, I did come across elements of angst, heartbreak, and sometimes frustration and complication that sometimes made me anxious and excited at the same time.  But, don't let that interfere with your reading experience.

I really enjoy the voice of author Toni Aleo in this and I think sports fans, obviously hockey ones, and romance lovers will enjoy the journey of both Markus and Mekena.  Definitely an one-click no brainer!

“You are, by far, the most patient man I know.”
Baylor grimaced as she took Dawson from Markus’s outstretched hands. He smiled as Dawson looked at him innocently. He knew the little guy didn’t mean to puke all over him and he wasn’t upset, but he was trying to figure out a way to get to the house and shower before he had to talk to Mekena. He highly doubted that baby puke would be an aphrodisiac. Maybe it would be? Huh.
He wasn’t going to try, though.
As Baylor cuddled Dawson against her, Markus waved her off. “It’s no big deal. He’s a baby.”
She smiled shyly. “Yes, but Ashlyn pooped on you too.”
He grinned as he shrugged, trying not to laugh. It was a tough rehearsal for Dawson, Ashlyn, and Markus. Puke and poop were big-time stars during the hour of watching the Sinclairs and Grace Justice try to put together a wedding. He wasn’t sure what was funnier, Jace glaring as Jordie walked with Avery, or Ashlyn farting and then realizing she had just shit all over him. It was a toss-up, but then Dawson decided to puke down the front of his shirt, and he figured he was now a substitute for a baby rag. “I volunteered.”
“Still, we’re really sorry,” Avery said, holding Ashlyn close as she rocked her back and forth. “I understand if you don’t want to watch her ever again.”
“Nonsense,” he said, laughing as he tucked his hands into his pockets and looked around. He spotted Mekena at the front of the altar, taking pictures of random things. He wasn’t sure if she was done, but maybe he could slip away. “How much longer until y’all are done?”
“We’re done, but Lucy and Benji have some pre-wedding pictures they’re having done with Angie.”
“So Mekena isn’t done?”
Avery smiled. “Nope, she’s got a bit.”
“Can you pass a message for me?”
“Sure.”
“Let her know that I went back to the cabin to shower and clean up?”
“Yeah, of course. I’ll tell Jace to tell her since I’m taking Ashlyn to bed.”
“Cool, thanks,” he said, kissing her cheek and then Baylor’s, before rubbing Dawson’s head. “I’ll see you guys in the morning.”
Before he could get far, though, Baylor smiled. “Thanks again.”
“Anytime. I mean that.”
Avery smiled. “Thanks.”
“Also, good luck,” Baylor added.
Flashing them both a big grin, he nodded. “I need it.”
Heading out the back, he made it back to the cabin quickly. When he entered, though, Mr. Right was sitting on the windowsill howling. “Whoa, man. What’s up?”
Meoooooowwwwwwww, he wailed, with his mouth wide open as his hair stood on end.
“Bro, I don’t know what to say. I don’t speak your language. Are you singing? Do you want me to sing too? Meoooowwwwww,” he said, and Mr. Right looked back at him, almost with a glare. “We should add some beat to that and make a remix,” Markus joked as the cat wailed. Deciding that was a good idea, he pulled out his phone and started to beatbox as the cat wailed, recording it on his SnapChat. The cat must have realized what he was doing because he looked back, scowling, and Markus hid his phone. He didn’t want to admit it, but Mr. Right kind of freaked him out.
